Defrosting

The winter months allow for time to plan for what we will wear come spring and summer. It may seem a bit backward, to be focus on lightweight materials and brighter colors in the dark cold months, but if you don’t think about these things now, come spring you will find yourself wearing a four seasons suit or even worse your winter flannels! While many young men my age really should focus on building a staple wardrobe (your arsenal of solid blue and grey for the office), I can’t help but take advantage of the seasons. Come spring, I want to lighten things up, both in the weight and colors of the cloth I select for a jacket. Here, is an example of a lighter weight wool in a handsome lighter blue check. Over the coming weeks I will post some looks for this upcoming spring and summer. The view seen below is from the balcony of my tailor Gennaro’s shop in a small hill top town several kilometers from Napoli.
